 JINN - THE HIDDEN ONES 

Since the dawn of history, humans have always been fascinated of a world parallel to the physical world. This world has its own dimension and its own unique characteristics. This concept of the unseen world is present in different cultures and civilizations. Almost every nation from the primitive to the most civilized has concept of inter-dimensional entities whose dimension at times crosses over with human dimension having distinct abilities not given to the human race. From times immemorial certain groups of people for nefarious purposes have been working with them. They are known by various names in various religious scriptures. These unseen creatures made out of smokeless flame of fire of hot scorching wind (energy in modern day terminology) are called fallen angels in Bible and demons in Torah. Satanists, occult groups, spirit worshipping societies revere what they term as gorgeous beings cast out of heaven or fallen from God's grace. In popular culture and folklore, they are labelled as demon spirits. 

So, what are these fallen angels, demons or demon spirits? 

They are jinn the word used in classical Arabic the liturgical language of the Quran. The 72nd Chapter of the Quran is called Surah Al-Jinn. Mentioned several times in the Quran, the Jinn, their nature, types and abilities are described in the ahadith (narrations) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Unlike Judaism, Islam clearly differentiates between good and evil jinn and labels the evil jinn as devils and demons. Islam also corrects the Christian fallacy of fallen angels by stating that angels have no free will and cannot choose to disobey Allah. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated that angels are created of light, the jinn from smokeless flame of fire and humans from clay. The Quran and ahadith are absolutely clear that Satan was never an angel but was a jinni. Because of his arrogance and pride, he refused to prostrate before Adam the father of human race and earned the anger of Allah who has cursed him for eternity. 

ORIGIN OF JINN 

The Arabic word Jinn comes from the trilateral root word j-n-n- meaning hidden or concealed. They were created before humanity's creation and inhabited the Earth before humans. Due to their fiery nature, they committed corruption and bloodshed on Earth. Allah then sent an army of angels who killed many, took others as prisoners and banished others to Earth's remote islands. However, one among them called Azazeel (Azazel) termed Iblis by Allah would play an important role in misguiding and deceiving humanity till the end of time. 

The purpose of jinn on Earth is similar to that of humans. Like humans, they were created for the same purpose to worship Allah and have been given free will to choose between right and wrong. The Jinn are a world unto themselves having civilizations, cultures, races, ethnicities, languages and social orders. The jinn are male, female who eat, drink, sleep, marry, procreate and die. There are jinn who are Muslim as well as non-Muslim. They follow the religions of humans based on which region of the Earth they are located. Like non-Muslim humans there are Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, Zoroastrians etc. amongst them. The Jinn also have animals and the droppings of animals in the world of humans is food for their animals. 

What sets the jinn apart from humans is their ability to fly at the speed of sound and light, to shapeshift into humans and animals and to possess humans and animals. They have superhuman strength and their lifespan is greater than that of humans with some living up to 800 to 1000 to 1500 years. They also have the ability to reach the lower heaven of the seven heavens created by Allah. The jinn have the capability to pass through solid opaque barriers or as we can put it in a fantastical manner the ability to walk through walls. The character of the mutant Shadow Cat portrayed in X-Men films is shown with this ability. The only difference is that the physical composition of the jinn is different to that of humans. 

CONCEPT OF JINN IN DIFFERENT CULTURES AND CIVILIZATIONS 

The concept of jinn can be found in all world cultures starting with civilizations of the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa all the way to Americas and the indigenous populations in the farthest corners of the world. In 7th century pre-Islamic Arabia, the pagan Arabs would dread the jinn and whenever they would camp in a deserted place, they would seek the protection of the leader of the tribe of jinn present there. This would make the jinn haughty, and they would terrorize humans encamping at that spot. Despite the jinn being placed in the same position as the various deities, pre-Islamic Arabs did not regard the jinn as immortals like their gods. The jinn are also among the various creatures of the Persian mythology of the pre-Zoroastrian peoples of Iran. In excavations done in the Middle East in Syria and Iraq, archaeologists have found small statuettes of the Assyrian demon god Pazuzu who in Assyrian belief is the king of the demons of wind and son of the Assyrian god Hanbi. This demonic entity Pazuzu is the main antagonist in the Exorcist film series. Despite the West's rejection of religious dogma and embracing of so called "civilized scientific thought", it seems that somewhere in the Western psyche, matters of the unseen concept have not entirely faded, a truth which a film industry like Hollywood is trying to come to terms with and tries to explain it in its own manner. But projection of jinn possession is meant more to scare the living daylights out of viewers and invoke thrills rather than make a serious effort to educate the public about demonic entities and demonic possession. The same is the case of Bollywood where horror films about demon spirits and shape shifting snakes and creatures are inspired more by Hindu mythology and folklore rather than factuality. 

Some of the gods in different polytheistic pantheons are called demon gods by their worshippers a clear indication how the devils among the jinn headed by Iblis use their shape shifting ability to take on form of deities to mislead people and indulge them in polytheism. There is even a picture that depicts the Hindu god baby Krishna on the checkered floor. This black and white checkered floor used in lodges of Freemasons during their sacrilegious rituals depicts cross dimensional travel. The white squares represent the world of humans and black the world of the jinn. 

JINN, BLACK MAGIC AND THE OCCULT 

The Jinn are a chief component in black magic and occult activities. The Quran mentions the story of the Jews of Babylon who were taught magic by the devils among the jinn. The devils accused Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him) of being a sorcerer due to the control that Allah gave him over humans, animals and their kind. The story of Temple of Solomon is also the focal aspect of Freemasons' literature. The Knights Templars precursors to the Freemasons were a group of warrior monks who deviated from the practices of Christianity during the Crusades and became Satanists. They discovered books of black magic underneath the Temple Mount where the Temple of Solomon now Masjid Al-Aqsa stands. These books were confiscated by Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him) from the heretical Jews and buried by him. By accessing these books of black magic and learning the secret dark rites of the Jewish Kabbala, the Templars would seek anti-religious world power and domination by making pacts with the Dark Side. 

Before the advent of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the jinn would fly out of the earth and listen to the angels at the lower heavens conversing about Allah's plans for the future. However, after the revelation of the Quran and Muhammad's (peace be upon him) prophethood this was stopped. The jinn could no longer fly out of Earth and eavesdrop on the conversations of the inhabitants of the heavens. The devils would be pursued by meteorites to either chase them away or kill them. Were they to return safely to earth they would inform the fortune tellers of what they managed to hear in the heavens, but they would mix the truth with their own lies. Many renowned magicians have made pacts with the devils among the jinn and the jinn only fulfill the magician's request when he has fully submitted to them simply by selling his soul to Satan the master devil. And there is a price to be paid for that submission. The shayateen the cohorts of Iblis or Al-Shaytan, (from which the English word Satan is derived) instruct the magician to engage in disgusting, vile acts and that often include the desecration of Holy scriptures and relics. The present-day music industry with its rave forms of music and open display of revelry in concerts has links to satanism with lyrics of many songs containing satanic and pornographic themes. Many famous musicians have made pacts with the shayateen jinn and are able to perform musical feats when the shaytaan jinni possesses them altering their subconscious state. That's the reason why some musicians tend to quit the music industry when they realize they are being controlled and manipulated by a dark force. The satanic influence is such that it has influenced major social influences in the 21st century; from music to gaming to pornography to female lib movements, LGBTQ+ as well as perception-deception manipulative science and history suiting New World diabolic agenda ushering in New Age religions. One bizarre theory of 21st century propagates that humanity was placed on planet Earth by a group of extraterrestrial beings from distant planets. 

THE LINK BETWEEN DARWINISM AND SATANISM

The scientific theory of Darwinism or the religion of Darwinism so to speak denies the truth of divine religion and says that mankind and life on Earth evolved over a lengthy period of time. It's a theory that hearkens back to ancient civilizations of Rome, Greece, Egypt, Babylon, India, Persia, China and is a theory which lacks scientific basis being a weird amalgam of science and atheistic paganism. The theory of Darwinism was greatly advanced in the 19th and early 20th century and occult groups like the Freemasons and Illuminati in their secretly guarded lodges would communicate with the devils among the jinn tutored by Iblis on how to administer and propagate the theory as a scientific fact to the masses. Iblis through his minions and sentinels would instruct these elite Satanists on how to administer atheistic and materialist philosophies to indoctrinate humanity into accepting the New World Order.

MODERN DAY DISCOURSE ON JINN AND SATANISM 

British conspiracy theorist David Icke an expert on paranormal phenomena, occult societies has written extensively on the subjects. However, his theory of shape-shifting reptilians is somewhat absurd and outlandish as he claims that some of the world's most powerful leaders are in actuality shape-shifting reptilians. In one seminar Icke talks about beings of parallel dimension, the various names given to them in terms of their perception in different cultures and the way they interact with those societies. 

Be it demon gods of the ancients or the serpentine gods of the Native Americans or Indians, shape-shifting reptilians, aliens and UFOs, humanoid creatures, all are different manifestations of evil jinn, the apparitions specifically catered according to religion, culture, society and era. 

Recent Islamic documentaries like The Arrivals and Army of Satan have pointed out the common Satanic ground behind the New World Order Agenda as the driving force of the global conspiracy. Secret societies, satanic cults, spirit worshippers in seances summon demon jinn where agreements or power sharing moves, or the big plans as they are called are communicated. One such séance of elite Satanists has been depicted in director Stanley Kubrick's movie Eyes Wide Shut.  

JINN, THEIR ABILITIES AND THEIR RESIDENCES 

It is the religion of Islam that fully and with complete logic and rationale explains the world of the jinn. Many of those dabbling in supernatural phenomena when they read Quran and ahadith literature come to realize what exactly they are dealing with. Much of the Western World denies the existence of such creatures which is because of the secularization of the once Christian West by World Jewry, secret societies and atheist philosophers who propounded secular humanism. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him says the jinn are of three types:

• One that continuously flies in the air. 
• One that appears in the form of snakes and dogs. 
• Third that moves from place to place like humans. 

However, the scholars of Islam say that besides these 3 species of jinn there may be more and within these 3 species there may even be sub-species. The three foretold by Prophet peace be upon him are of the major types. Some jinn especially a type called afreet, possess great physical strength and super speed. They also have the ability to convert matter into energy and vice versa. The Quran tells the story of Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him) and queen of Sheba. Sulayman (peace be upon him) wanted to invite Sheba the Queen of Yemen to Islam and to prove his point to her that he indeed was a messenger of Allah he wanted her throne to be brought to Jerusalem all the way from Yemen. An afreet among the jinn took the task of doing that and with great speed flew all the way to Yemen to bring Sheba's throne before Sulayman (Solomon) p.b.u.h could even rise up from his seat. 

The jinn although in a dimension apart are mostly to be found in desolate places such as ruins, graveyards, abandoned houses, forests, deserts, caves. The good jinn prefer clean scented places while the evil ones mostly prefer unclean places such as toilets, dunghills and trash sites. Due to the evil jinn who are masters of deception, many instances of paranormal activity have been reported worldwide. The most common recurring phenomenon in the West is that of haunted houses where activity of poltergeists that is malevolent spirits have been reported leading some Western paranormal researchers to conclude that such occurrences and happenings cannot be scientifically explained. In fact, Hollywood has projected such phenomena in its films like The Evil Dead and The Conjuring movie series which are a blend of fact and fiction. Science and its various disciplines are the study of the physical world perceived by humans. It cannot explain worlds apart from the physical world of humans. Also, scientific theories are not always true and valid, and some are discarded over a period of time when new research and discoveries come to light. In the West they also have the concept of talking to the spirits of the dead; of people who were alive whether loved ones or friends. There is a category of jinn known in Arabic as Qareen and Humzaad in Farsi/Urdu. It's a jinni that has been assigned to an individual at its birth. It knows each and every detail about that individual as well as their life experiences from the cradle to the grave. These Qareen jinn live on even after the person's death and when called upon by spirit worshipping societies talk or take the form of that dead person since they are a mirror reflection of that dead person. It's just another trick employed by jinn on their part to play on human sentiments. The Qareen in modern English expression are referred to as inner demons and the expression is applied to a person who is facing an internal struggle to combat his evil desires and negative impulses. 

CONCLUSION 

Those who fall for the trap of Satan or willingly sell their souls to him in return for petty worldly gains or to amass some kind of supernatural power will be dismayed on the Day of Judgement when Satan and his tribe of evil jinn, will disown them in the presence of Allah. Satan will remind them that Allah made them a promise of truth and he too made them a promise which was a false promise and that he had no authority over them except that he called them towards him, and they relented. Their Qareen (jinn comrades) will also say to Allah that they did not push the humans into vice and transgression but they themselves were far astray. 

The only way to save ourselves from the snares of evil jinn and their master Satan is by adopting the living life transaction of the last Prophet and Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him. Should we ever come into contact with these creatures especially the evil ones amongst them we would be able to deal with them in the manner taught to us by the Prophet (peace be upon him) of which two are (a). recitation of the Holy Quran and (b) supplications taught by the Prophet (peace be upon him). As far as paranormal phenomena are concerned it's the duty of us Muslims to educate the people both Muslims as well as non-Muslims on an intellectual level in accordance with the Quran and ahadith (not pseudo-science) about the hidden ones who share this planet with us.
